Forget reviewing the coffee.  I don't know who the owner is but this is a great use of resources, skills, and gifts to glorify the Lord!  I am serious about my faith, but I live in prosperity gospel land now and it is draining.  I love coming home to a coffee shop where I feel the presence of Jesus between the music, pictures on the wall, support of the local Christian community, and the staff.  A few doors down is the Christian bookstore.  I'm wondering how differently my life would have been had I had this influence here in high school.

The tea and coffee, meh, but you aren't going to find anything better in Newton, Iowa.  I've drank in the top coffee shops in South America where coffee is made, so don't make me compare.  My world traveler status works against most US coffee shops.  If it were the worst coffee in town I would still come here strictly due to the ambiance.  See you when I return this summer!

Was just passing through town and made a pit stop at Bridgehouse for coffee and to get online for a bit. The staff is super friendly and the space is open and accommodating. Didn't get any desserts but they looked tasty. Thanks!

Just visited Bridgehouse while visiting my grandparents in Newton. 5 stars for a pleasant ambiance, 5 stars for incredible customer service (1 attendant running both register and bar, and managing both with great aplomb), and 5 stars for the best cup of coffee in Newton proper.

Great little pit stop on our road trip! Charming local town and beautiful photography upon entering bridgehouse coffee. The girls that work there were friendly and great tasting coffee with fairtrade beans and organic pastries.

Stopped in here for lunch while in town for work.  GREAT coffee here!  Also the sandwiches are great, especially the avocado grilled cheese.  Also had the red pepper gouda soup and loved it.  I highly recommend this place, very low key and a great place to get work done.
